Welcome to PEARL TRIPS, a tour agent company registered in Sri Lanka. By accessing or using our website [pearltrips.lk] and our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read the terms carefully before using our services.

  1. Your Travel Partner: PEARL TRIPS is a Sri Lankan Travel Agency registered under the business registration number 10/4905. The planning, execution and organization of tours is carried out by PEARL TRIPS on behalf of guests and other travel partners.
  2. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions: PEARL TRIPS render services to you (Customer) only under the acceptance of following Terms and Conditions. If you (Customer) do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you (Customer) may not able to reserve our services through the website.
  3. Confirmation of Booking: Your booking is confirmed and a contract exists when the PEARL TRIPS issues a written confirmation after receipt of the applicable non-refundable deposit. Please check your confirmation carefully and report any incorrect or incomplete information to us immediately to facilitate your trip. Please ensure that names are exactly as stated in the relevant passports as well as clear copy of passports of you and your group. PEARL TRIPS does not bear responsibility for the consequences or additional payments incur due to the wrong information/misinformation given by you (Customer).A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of reserving our services. The deposit amount will be specified at the time of booking; however, it is normally 30% of the tour price. The remaining of the tour cost is payable on or before arrival to Sri Lanka.
    • Advance Booking and Payments: All bookings must be made and confirmed with a 30% advance payment at least 3 months (90 days) prior to the travel date. For bookings made less than 3 months before the travel date, please contact Pearl Trips to check availability. If no reservation is confirmed, any payment made will be refunded, but please note that bank charges and fees will apply to refunds.
    • Accommodation and Booking Policies for Children: A maximum of two children, either under 5 years or between 6 and 11 years, can be accommodated under the following conditions: children under 5 stay free, while children aged 6 to 11 stay at half price. For the third child and beyond, 50% of the adult rate will be charged for accommodation and services, along with additional transportation costs. Due to limitations with hotel capacity and transportation, if more than two children are included in the booking, please contact Pearl Trips for adjusted pricing. Accommodation is provided on a room-sharing basis, with double or triple rooms offered based on the group size. If the group exceeds room capacity, additional charges will apply.
  4. Minimum Group Size: In case agreed minimum group size at the reservation is not met at the guest arrival, PEARL TRIPS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the trip. However, we’re flexible to offer you alternative itinerary plan for the available group size.
  5. Payment Methods: PEARL TRIPS offer flexible payment methods to accommodate your (Customer) preferences. When making a payment through PEARL TRIPS website, PEARL TRIPS confirm that your payment is secure and your financial details are passed through a secure service using SSL encryption technology. Accepted payment methods include:
    • Credit and Debit Cards: VISA, MasterCard
    • Bank Transfer
    • Any additional accepted methods that is shown in our payment window on the website
  6. Cancellation & Refund Policy: Cancellation of a reserved trip must be made in writing by the tour leader or one who reserved the services. The trip cancellation will take effect from the day and time (GMT+5:30) the PEARL TRIPS receives the written cancellation by email or other acceptable modes and upon confirmation by the PEARL TRIPS by written. Apart from 30% of non-refundable advance payment, the remaining amount will be refunded, if any, yet subject to the exchange rate and Bank charges on the day of cancellation from the Bank.
  7. Cancellation by PEARL TRIPS: PEARL TRIPS consider your holiday seriously. However, PEARL TRIPS reserve the right to cancel your holiday due to unforeseen circumstances. In this event PEARL TRIPS will refund all money paid by you or, whenever possible, offer an alternative holiday with comparable type and quality. PEARL TRIPS cannot be held liable for any expenses that may be incurred during arrangements for a holiday that is subsequently canceled by PEARL TRIPS due to unavoidable circumstances.Force Majeure: PEARL TRIPS is not liable for Force Majeure, as defined in these booking terms, which refers to any unforeseeable, uncontrollable event that PEARL TRIPS, as the service provider, could not reasonably have predicted, influenced, or prevented. Such events encompass war or the threat of war, riots, civil unrest, terrorism, contamination, extreme or uncommon weather conditions, and alterations to sports schedules, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, flight cancellations or rescheduling by airlines, or any comparable event beyond PEARL TRIPS control.
  8. Itinerary Changes by PEARL TRIPS: PEARL TRIPS is committed to the highest levels of integrity and professionalism in ensuring you have an enjoyable tour. However, there will be instances where adjustments to your itinerary need to be made due to exigent circumstances. This could be an event under exceptional circumstances (e.g., overbooking of the hotel) which demand immediate action from our end to ensure your tour continues with minimal disruption. Under such circumstances, PEARL TRIPS reserve the right to provided alternate accommodation to best suit the circumstances.
  9. Itinerary Changes Requested By You: PEARL TRIPS happy to offer flexible itineraries. Once an itinerary is finalized and paid, requests for changes will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed and may incur additional premium.
  10. Unused Tours or Services: PEARL TRIPS reserves the right to refuse any refund or discount for missed or unused Tours or Services, including voluntary or involuntary removal from the Tour or Service. This includes but is not limited to; personal sickness, family illness or death, late arrival of the tour, and early voluntary or involuntary removal of the tour. If you decide to opt out of certain activities throughout the Tour PEARL TRIPS reserve the right to refuse any form of refund or substitute of any said activity.
  11. Travel Insurance: PEARL TRIPS strongly recommend all clients take out comprehensive travel insurance prior to date of travel. This insurance may cover cancellation and curtailment, all medical expenses including evacuation/repatriation, personal baggage, personal liability, personal injuries, death and permanent disability and travel document insurance. PEARL TRIPS is not liable for said incidents.
  12. Child Policy: PEARL TRIPS recommend that if you are travelling with a minor who does not share your surname, in order to minimize the possibility of disruption to your travel plans, you may travel with documentation that proves your relationship to the minor as well as documentation that proves you have permission to travel with them.
  13. Photos and Marketing: You agree to allow us to utilize photographs of you captured during the tour for advertising and promotional endeavors through any chosen medium. By providing this consent, you confer upon us an everlasting, royalty-free, global, and irrevocable license to employ these images for publicity and promotional purposes. Should you prefer otherwise, kindly notify us before your departure, and we will honor your request. (not for commercial purpose)
  14. Accommodation: All accommodation, room type(s), and specifications are as shown in the final confirmation of itinerary.
  15. Shopping: PEARL TRIPS neither supports nor has any affiliation with the operators of any shops. PEARL TRIPS assumes no responsibility for the quality, value, reliability, or authenticity of any goods that you may choose to purchase during the tour.
  16. Smoking: Smoking is forbidden in public places, including natural reserves, in Sri Lanka. We respect your personal preferences of smoking without affecting our guests, crew and public.
  17. Jurisdiction: This agreement will be governed by the law of Peoples Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka and any disputes will be dealt with by the Sri Lanka Courts.
